Hungary has again blocked the approval of the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, providing for the gradual implementation of an oil embargo on petroleum products, Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak wrote in his Twitter page.
“The meeting of EU ambassadors is over. There are no agreements yet on sanctions against the Russian Federation. They will meet again tomorrow and possibly on Tuesday. Hungarian stubbornness,” he wrote.

Recall that the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation provides for the gradual introduction of an embargo on oil and petroleum products from the Russian Federation.
Russia’s oil surrender could be a particular challenge for Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria, which buy resources primarily from Russia. In general, Russia’s oil accounts for 25% of EU oil imports, while gas accounts for 40%.
