Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure that the Defense Forces receive even better weapons.
In particular, this also applies to long-range missiles. And in communication with partner countries, the taboo on the supply of such weapons to Ukraine is already being removed. In addition, a certain diplomatic marathon has been going on in recent weeks, during which negotiations are being held with representatives of different countries. On February 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an evening summary.
A tank coalition has already been created, the taboo on the supply of long-range missiles is already being lifted, there are already achievements in strengthening our artillery, and the world has already heard how necessary the creation of an aviation coalition is for global security,” he noted.
The Ukrainian leader also discussed this issue during a meeting with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. Negotiations in this vein will continue next week.
Recall that in early February, the United States announced a new military aid package totaling $2.2 billion, which will include HIMARS-GLSDB long-range missiles with a range of up to 150 km.
However, the dialogue on the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine is still ongoing. Politico, citing Pentagon sources, said that the rollover of ATACMS on the battlefield in Ukraine would reduce American stocks and damage the readiness of the US Armed Forces for upcoming wars.
