Evacuation crews brought the priest’s family, which included a minor teenager, to Kurakhovo, but the “white angels” did not wait for words of thanks.
The crew of the White Angel took all the children from the constantly shelled Vuhledar, Donetsk region. The last to be released was the 15-year-old son of a priest, who was the only minor in the city. This was reported by the press service of the Donetsk region police.
“Predicting their lives, the” white angels “conducted another rescue operation and took the boy and his family out in a shooting battle. Currently, the family is safe. For now, the situation in Vugledar remains tense .There are more than 300 elders in the city who refuse to leave your town,” the statement said.
It was reported that a local priest with his wife and three children aged 19, 18 and 15, despite the persuasion of law enforcement officials, categorically refused to leave Vugledar.
“The multi-storey building, in the basement of which the family lived, is located outside the city, one kilometer from the occupying troops. Despite the fact that the family is waiting for the whole family in a safer residence , the parents were sure that their basement was the safest place in Ukraine. The police did not stop trying to persuade the family to evacuate, because it was deadly to stay in the city. With each visit to Vuhledar, law enforcement officials was conducting preventive work with parents and children, discussed the benefits of evacuation. Finally, despite the displeasure of some family members, law enforcement officials were able to persuade padre de family for evacuation,” the press service said.
According to the police report, the evacuation crew took the family to their grandmother in Kurakhovo in an armored vehicle.
“Law enforcement officers did not receive words of thanks from the family that was taken out of hell, only their grandmother sincerely thanked the White Angels for saving her relatives. The police will monitor the further fate of displaced families. All efforts of White Angel personnel are aimed at evacuating people from the combat zone to safe places. The priority is families with children. Children must live safe, and not in basements under shelling,” the report said.
