The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in Slavyansk.
The attacker turned out to be a local resident of Slovyansk, who in the fall of 2022 began voluntarily working for the intelligence service of the aggressor country. It turned out that the man went to cooperate with the enemy for ideological reasons. Moreover, having shown his “benefit” for the invaders, he planned to join the ranks of the DPR terrorist organization. This was reported on February 14 by the press center of the SBU.
The agent of the Russian Federation actively helped the aggressor to reconnoiter the locations and routes of movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and transferred to the enemy the locations of civilian and critical infrastructure near the front line. The enemy used this information for shelling and preparing sabotage.
During a search at the attacker’s place of residence, law enforcement officers found a mobile phone containing evidence of correspondence with the enemy, as well as a draft statement in which the defendant asked to be accepted into the ranks of the occupiers. While he was informed of the suspicion, the court arrested the intruder.
Recall that the Security Service of Ukraine exposed an employee of Ukrzaliznytsia, who corrected missile strikes on Kyiv. In the event of the capture of the region, the invaders promised their henchman loyalty and leadership positions in the occupation administrations.
