Pyshny noted that the National Bank has a strong position, and that all obligations under the program have been fulfilled.
The National Bank has fulfilled the conditions of the Monitoring Program of the International Monetary Fund and is ready to discuss the parameters of a new financing program. This was announced by the head of the NBU Andrey Pyshny.
“The position of the National Bank is strong, we have fulfilled all the obligations set by the program. The successful evaluation of the Monitoring Program will be a bridge to the transition to a new program that will provide funds,” he said.
According to Pyshny, he expressed this during the talks held the previous day with IMF Managing Director Kristina Georgieva and IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinat.
“We are ready for reforms, we are ready to implement long-term plans,” said the head of the NBU.
As a reminder, the Mission of the International Monetary Fund started working within the framework of the first revision of the Monitoring Program for Ukraine.
As you know, in March this year, the IMF may provide a multi-year aid package to Ukraine for $16 billion. At the same time, the fund has put new conditions for Ukraine to provide loans.
