The Russians failed to achieve their goals for the fourteenth time, the Ukrainian energy sector was not paralyzed.
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure suffered greatly from a massive Russian missile attack on Friday, February 10, but no disaster occurred. This was said by the head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky on the air of the telethon.
He noted that the invaders once again failed to achieve their goals.
“We were attacked by kamikaze drones, S-300 missiles, and finally, a massive missile attack began in the morning. The scale of the damage was significant: the Russians were able to damage several thermal and hydroelectric power plant. Today’s attack corrected our plans to restore the generation, but at the same time, the disasters were not repeated. The Russians failed to achieve their goals for the fourteenth time, “said Kudritsky.
According to him, in Kharkiv “the situation will be really difficult.” But power engineers plan to restore some damaged power facilities by the weekend. At the same time, Kharkiv’s critical infrastructure is powered up, electrical engineers are working to stabilize the situation, but it takes time.
“We still need to assess the extent of the damage to be more certain when we will be able to fix the situation in the Khmelnytsky region. We will work through the weekend. We still need to work on the full restoration of facilities around Odessa, which provide of power in the city and region of Odessa. But the situation has improved if we compare it with what happened on Saturday and Sunday,” said Kudritsky.
He added that in Odessa oblenergo is already testing planned shutdown schedules.
Earlier it was reported that Kyiv and two regions have returned to stabilization schedules of blackouts.
