Soldiers of the State Border Guard Service, together with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, defeated a unit of Russian invaders in the direction of Bakhmut.

Soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SFSU) repelled a long attack by Russian occupation troops around the fortress city of Bakhmut. The press service of the State Border Guard Service reported this on Wednesday, February 8.

“During the positional struggle, the border guards created favorable conditions for a counterattack, which, with artillery and mortar support, was carried out together with brothers from the National Guard and Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said report.

The State Border Service also noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces forced the enemy to hide from their positions using fire from small arms and group weapons.

“At least 12 invaders were liquidated during the counteroffensive, 16 were wounded,” said the State Border Guard Service.

Recall that on February 7, Ukrainian border guards shot down a Russian Su-25 in the sky over Bakhmut.
