Russian attack aircraft Su-25 “Rook” was shot down in the sky over Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
The enemy aircraft was landed by Ukrainian border guards. The Su-25 provided air cover for the infantry advancing on the defensive line of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The GNSU fighters opened fire from a portable anti-aircraft missile system and shot down a combat aircraft. The plane caught fire and crashed from a missile hit, the fate of the pilot is still unknown. This was reported on February 7 by the State Border Service Facebook.
Also, the fighters of the Border Service destroyed a Russian drone conducting reconnaissance in the Bakhmut area. The air spy of infidels was destroyed by the servicemen from small arms.
Recall that in the Bakhmut area, the Ukrainian military regularly digest enemy aircraft into scrap metal. Two weeks ago, National Guard soldiers destroyed a Mi-24 helicopter and a Su-25 aircraft. Guardsmen landed another Rook from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system last week, too.
