The Verkhovna Rada will vote for the resignation of Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov at the next plenary session in the near future. In his place will be appointed the current head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov.
This was announced at a meeting of the Servant of the People faction by its head David Arakhamia, the RBC-Ukraine agency writes, citing an informed source.
Also, the source of the agency spoke about other planned changes in the government:
- the current acting head of the SBU, Vasily Malyuk, will be appointed head of the SBU;
- acting head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko will become the head of this department;
- Reznikov will replace Pavel Ryabikin as Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
Recall that Reznikov recently told under what conditions he would resign from his post as head of the Ministry of Defense.
