Western partners will provide aircraft to Ukraine, but the question remains which ones. This is what Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said in a press conference on Sunday, February 5.
“Now, with the acquisition of weapons, we have received everything, only planes are left. I can add optimism to you – there will also be planes, the question is simple – which ones,” he said.
According to him, Ukraine’s partners keep hearing about the need for the aircraft, as it is also part of the air defense. In particular, Kyiv can receive both F-16 and other aircraft.
The official also added that Ukraine will become the second state in the world in terms of the number of CAESAR self-propelled artillery installations after the manufacturing country – France.
“Today 12 CAESARs are coming, which was announced by the French Minister of Defense after my visit. In addition to the decision of the Kingdom of Denmark to transfer the CAESARs to us, they ordered them for themselves from a French manufacturer ,” said the head of the Defense Ministry. .
Reznikov also added that from Monday, February 6, Ukrainian personnel will begin training on Leopard tanks abroad.
“We clearly understand how much, when, which country will give us (tanks – ed.). We clearly understand that from tomorrow, from Monday, the training of tank crews outside Ukraine on Leopard will begin ,” he summed up.
Recall that earlier the media reported that Reznikov went to Paris to negotiate the transfer of F-16 fighters.
