Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, promised the Israeli authorities that he would not kill Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett flew to Moscow on March 5, where he held three-hour talks with Putin, after which he telephoned Zelensky. The head of the aggressor country assured him in the first days of the war that he would not kill the Ukrainian leader. Bennett spoke about this in an interview with The Times of Israel.
I knew that Zelensky was under threat in the bunker… I told him: “Are you going to kill Zelensky?” He said: “I will not kill Zelensky.” “I have to understand, you give me your word that you will not kill Zelensky?” He said: “I will not kill Zelensky,” the ex-premier said.
According to Bennett, after that he called Zelensky on the phone and relayed the words of the Russian dictator. The former prime minister of Israel claims that after that the President of Ukraine came out of the bunker and took a selfie in his office.
The former prime minister also added that Putin also “agreed not to insist on the disarmament of Ukraine,” and Zelensky allegedly abandoned his desire to join NATO.
Recall that the British newspaper The Times reported that in early March, only a week later, at least three assassination attempts were made on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Two different groups were sent to kill the Ukrainian leader – Wagner mercenaries and Chechen special forces.
