The Russian occupiers destroyed or damaged nearly 400 health care facilities in Ukraine.
As a result of Russia’s massive aggression and war, the treatment of cancer patients was completely stopped in our country. This was announced on Thursday, May 5, by the head of state.
According to the president, the health care system in Ukraine is facing very serious problems due to the Russian military aggression. In particular, today there is no treatment for cancer patients in our country.
In addition, there are problems with access to insulin in Ukraine, and there is a shortage of antibiotics.
“Russia brought to Ukraine, to Europe problems we could not have imagined a few months ago,” Zelensky stressed.
He also noted that to date, Russian troops have destroyed or damaged nearly 400 health care facilities: hospitals, maternity hospitals, outpatient clinics.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in the East and South, there is a catastrophic situation with access to medical services and medicine. There is a shortage of even the simplest medicine.
“It’s the inability to perform surgical operations. It’s even just lack of antibiotics!”, – added the President.
He summed up such consequences of the Russian occupation for the part of Ukraine that needs to be liberated from the occupiers.
Earlier, the occupiers fired on the hospital of Ukrprofzdravnitsy in Slavyansk. Prior to that, a hospital in Severodonetsk had been subjected to enemy fire.
Recall that an evacuation medical train began to run in Ukraine. It consists of several cars, including an intensive care car.
