On Monday, January 30, Ukraine launched a program for the free exchange of old incandescent bulbs for energy-saving LED lamps. And on the first day, Ukrainians applied for the exchange of 300,000 energy-saving lamps. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram.
Shmyhal recalled that 30 million of these lamps were purchased by the European Union, and another five million were expected from France.
“Yesterday, a large-scale program for exchanging old incandescent lamps for LED lamps was launched in Ukraine. This is an initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Shmygal wrote.
