The supply of French self-propelled guns will be financed under a support fund of 200 million euros.
The Ukrainian army will receive another 12 Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts from France. French Minister of Defense Sebastian Lecornu said this in Paris at a joint press conferences with Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov on Tuesday, January 31.
“They (Caesar – ed.) will be financed under a support fund of 200 million euros, which opened the parliament,” said the minister.
Lecornu added that the French government will send 150 military personnel to Poland to train new recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will train 600 people a month, and in the summer – only 2,000 fighters.
The media previously reported that Reznikov went to France. It is assumed that he will discuss with the French side the issue of transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
The previous day, French President Emmanuel Macron announced his readiness to transfer fighter jets to Ukraine with the words “in principle, nothing is prohibited.”
