Russian government helicopter crashed near Moscow

    A government helicopter made a hard landing at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.

    According to preliminary information, the Mi-8 of the special-purpose aviation unit “Russia” on the morning of January 27, during landing, hit the ground with its tail section.

    There are no previous casualties.

    The special summer detachment “Russia” is subordinate to the Administration of the President of Russia and transports high-ranking officials.

    This detachment provides air transportation for the President, the Prime Minister of Russia, the speakers of the State Duma and the Federation Council, the heads of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, the Prosecutor General and the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the head of the Kremlin administration and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

    Earlier, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) included Russia in the list of countries in which problems with ensuring flight safety are officially recognized.
