The main target of the enemy is the high voltage infrastructure. Air defense shot down most of the missiles, but there were also hits on substations.
As a result of the 13th large-scale attack of the Russian Federation, which took place on January 26, five high-voltage substations in the central, southern and southwestern regions were damaged. This was said by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Government Portal reports.
According to the prime minister, this time the main target of the enemy is the high voltage infrastructure. Air defense forces shot down most of the missiles, but some also hit high-voltage substations.
Shmyhal also noted that this week, at a meeting of “Energy Ramstein”, Ukraine managed to agree on increasing aid to the domestic energy system.
“We understand how to survive this winter, but we are already preparing a plan for how to restore our energy system in the spring and summer. We are not talking about temporary solutions, but about changing strategies, building and developing decentralized generation, high quality. restoration and protection of distribution networks,” said the minister.
Recall that during the attack of the Russian Federation, many high-voltage network objects were damaged, which is why emergency power outages are operating in 10 regions of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Russia acknowledged the impact on Ukraine’s energy sector.
