The maximum amount of temporary assistance from the state for children under six years of age will be UAH 2,100, for children from six to 18 years – UAH 2,618.
The Cabinet of Ministers changed the procedure for assigning and paying temporary state assistance to children whose parents evade payment of alimony, cannot afford to support the child, or their place of residence is unknown. The maximum amount of assistance is 2618 hryvnia. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy on Tuesday, May 3.
“Through the government’s decision, it was determined that temporary state assistance would be provided taking into account the financial situation of the family in which the child was raised, at an amount equal to the difference between 100 per cent of the subsistence minimum for a child who with equivalent age and the average monthly total family income per person for the past six months., but at least 50 percent of the subsistence minimum for a child of appropriate age.
The maximum amount of temporary assistance for children under six years of age will be UAH 2,100, for children from six to 18 years – UAH 2,618.
From January 1, 2022, they will also calculate the amount of temporary state assistance, whose payment was made in January-May 2022, taking into account the amounts of this assistance paid.
It will be recalled that the government has simplified the procedure for the adoption of children left without parental care, or having the status of an orphan, exclusively for relatives.
Previously, the Verkhovna Rada increased the amount of child support to 50% of the subsistence minimum.
