The government must make changes to the National Security and Defense Council’s decision within five days, the border department said.
People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko left Ukraine in accordance with the border crossing rules in force today. On Thursday, January 26, Ukrinform reports in relation to the State Border Service.
“Changes to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council must be made by the government within five days. And now the passage of citizens at the border is carried out exclusively within the framework of the norms of the Ukrainian law regulating the Rules for crossing the border and are in force at the time of a person’s border crossing,” said the press service of the border department.
They recalled that the National Security and Defense Council had previously decided to prohibit officials from traveling abroad, according to which they could cross the borders of Ukraine only for official purposes. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed an order implementing the relevant decision of the National Security and Defense Council on January 23. According to the order, within five days, the Cabinet of Ministers must develop such a procedure for crossing the border of officials so that only a genuine business trip can be the basis.
The border guards also reminded that the departure of male MPs abroad is carried out according to the following documents:
-
in the case of leaving the passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad – confirmation of the status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine;
-
in the case of leaving a diplomatic passport or a service passport in the presence of documents confirming the fact of going abroad on a business trip and confirming the status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine.
In this regard, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said that he did not sign an order for a business trip to Thailand for Tishchenko.
“Mykola Tishchenko did not send a business trip abroad. Accordingly, I, as the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, did not sign the order for a business trip to Thailand,” he said.
On Thursday it became known that Nikolai Tishchenko is in Thailand. The Embassy of Ukraine in this country reported that the representative of the people intends to hold a meeting with the Ukrainian community to “improve relations” in one of the hotels in Bangkok.
Today it also became known that Tishchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People party and removed from the post of deputy head of the faction.
