The first meeting of the donor structure brought high-ranking representatives of Ukraine, EU, G7 countries, as well as financial institutions.
The interdepartmental donor platform for the restoration of Ukraine began work. This was reported in the communiqué of the European Commission, published in Brussels, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“It will ensure close coordination of international donors and international financial institutions and ensure consistent, transparent and accountable provision of support (to Ukraine),” the message said.
It was noted that the first meeting of this donor structure, held in the format of a videoconference, brought together high-ranking representatives of Ukraine, the EU, the G7 countries, as well as financial institutions such as the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Over time, other donors will be able to join the platform.
It was also reported that to date, the EU, its member states and European financial institutions have provided Ukraine with up to EUR49 billion in financial, budgetary, emergency, humanitarian and military aid.
Remember that the post-war restoration of Ukraine cost 500-600 billion euros.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal named the main source of funding for the Recovery Plan.
