The country’s authorities are discussing the possibility of temporary employment of Ukrainians in Israel.
Israel extended until May 31, 2022, tourist visas for Ukrainian citizens who came to the country before the full Russian invasion, that is, until February 24. This was reported on Tuesday, May 3, on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel.
The diplomatic department noted that Ukrainians do not have to go to the embassy office to extend their visa – it will be automatically extended until the end of May.
“If the fighting in Ukraine does not end on May 31, the period of stay of Ukrainian citizens in Israel will be extended – this will be reported to official sources,” the statement said.
The department stressed that the issue of the possibility of temporary employment of Ukrainians in Israel is now being discussed.
“We also inform you that a negotiation process is underway regarding the possibility of temporary employment of Ukrainian citizens who are in the status of tourists. The Embassy will inform about possible workplaces and working conditions,” added the diplomats.
It will be recalled that the Israeli authorities decided to increase humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine after the recent offensive statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about anti-Semitic Jews.
