The Armed Forces of Ukraine answered questions regarding the mobilization process in the country.
Roman Gorbach, head of the personnel department of the headquarters of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, explained that mobilization in Ukraine began on February 24 and continues constantly.
He stated that “there are no waves of conscription”, and the decision on the mobilization of each citizen is made after the conclusion of the medical commission on suitability for military service.
In most cases, citizens are called to the territorial recruitment centers (military) to clarify military credentials.
Personnel who have not previously completed service are called up to training centers where training takes place in certain specialties. After that, the servicemen arrive at military units for specific positions.
Citizens mobilized with military service experience and a short break in service can be sent immediately to combat military units. Today we need specialists, both for new types of weapons provided by partners, and for replenishing losses. First of all, personnel are mobilized in certain military specialties, – the military media center quotes Gorbach.
