The explosion in Berdyansk occurred on January 24. Russian Gauleiter Rogov reports that a car belonging to a traitorous businessman Valentina Mamai has been blown up.
Mamai is a former deputy of the city council from the banned Opposition Platform for Life. Ukrainian media in the region wrote earlier that she cooperated with the occupiers from the first days of a full-scale invasion. In particular, it extradited family members of veterans and ATO/JFO fighters to RF terrorists.
Previously, she was in the car and is now in the hospital.
Background
Since November 2022, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has been considering in absentia the accusation against Berdyanka Valentina Mamai under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason under martial law. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for fifteen years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
In October, the same court chose a measure of restraint for her – detention. Since July, the accused has been on the wanted list.
From the production materials, it is seen that after the full-scale Russian invasion, Mamai voluntarily offered the enemy her help in informing about the addresses of residence of persons who could resist the occupying authorities and participate in the ATO. From the end of February of this year to the present, she voluntarily writes and transmits undercover messages to the FSB of the Russian Federation, personally meets with them in the building of the city council and other public places and reports information. Mamai also showed the military of the Russian armed forces advantageous positions for the location of equipment for shelling the territory of Ukraine.
From the beginning of the occupation, Valentina Mamai was engaged in the removal of executed civilians on the territory of the Berdyansk region and publicly called the Russian military uninvited guests.
But two weeks later, information about cooperation with the enemy began to appear, which was confirmed in the summer. Initially, in a propaganda video, Valentina admitted that she considers Tver a sister city of Berdyansk and cooperates with Russian officials, and then she became a member of the “public chamber under the head of the occupation administration” of Berdyansk.
According to the YouControl analytical system, Valentina Mamai remains an entrepreneur and head of the public organization Berdyansk Animal Welfare Service. In recent years, they have regularly won tenders and provided their services to the community in the sterilization of homeless animals. She was repeatedly a deputy of the city council, including the one before last from the now banned Opposition Bloc party.
