The inspection of the International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA) did not find military equipment at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
This was announced on January 24 by the head of the agency, Rafael Grossi, speaking in the European Parliament.
Our team together with Ukrainian management [станцій] I checked if there is military equipment. Of course, the result of these checks was negative, and we are going to make a report – said Grossi.
The day before, the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, said that, according to the intelligence service, the Ukrainian military is stockpiling weapons and ammunition supplied by the West, including missiles for the HIMARS MLRS, on the territories of nuclear power plants, hoping that Russian troops will not inflict. blows.
Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak denied these statements.
Ukraine has never stored weapons on the “territory of the nuclear power plant”, as the Russian SVR (Naryshkin) fictitiously “claims”. But Russia has seized the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and is keeping the military there. Ukraine is always open to inspection bodies, in particular the IAEA. The purpose of Russian lies is to justify” their provocations,” he tweeted.
