The US State Department announced news from Germany about Leopard tanks

Washington believes that news from Berlin on the issue of German tanks for Ukraine is worth waiting for in the coming days.

Germany in the coming days may report news on the transfer of Leopard tanks to Ukraine. This is what US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a briefing on Monday, January 23.

“In the coming hours or days, we may hear some news from Germany (on the supply of tanks to Ukraine – ed.),” said the American official.

As you know, Ramstein-8 did not approve the transfer of tanks to Ukraine.

However, we note that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said: Leopard tanks will enter service in Ukraine, but the public presentation of this decision is still being discussed.

We also added that Warsaw will apply to Berlin for permission to transfer its own Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. In the absence of such permission, Warsaw in any case intends to transfer tanks to Kyiv as part of a “smaller coalition” of Western countries.
