New military units will appear in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
These formations will be armed with military equipment of NATO member countries. And now the Ukrainian army needs Western-style tanks, because they are much better than Soviet equipment and can play a significant role on the battlefield. This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces Sergei Naev, CNN reports.
We are creating new military units, and our further actions will depend on their combat effectiveness. Therefore, the help of the West is very important,” he said.
According to Naev, the most effective is the formation of separate units armed with new military equipment. Each such new unit must be equipped with the same combat vehicles. That is why you need to create a whole battalion equipped with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, or Leopard tanks.
Recall that Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that with regard to Leopard 2 tanks, the Ukrainian side has an “optimistic breakthrough.” The countries that have Leopards in service have agreed that they can start training courses for Ukrainian tank crews from mastering these vehicles.
