The President in his speech commemorated all regions of the country, sights and historical figures.

On January 22, on Unity Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky published an appeal to Ukrainians. In particular, the head of state ensured victory in the war against Russia.

“If you don’t stop fighting, sooner or later a united and free state will be restored. If you don’t achieve true unity, freedom will be lost. We have always known about the first wisdom. And on February 24, we have proven that we have learned the second. Our Ukraine is unique, because it is strong. Strong because it is united,” the president said in a video posted on his Facebook page.

The head of state noted that each of us no longer has foreign cities, villages, streets, because each region protects the other region.

“Every city is native. Every village is native. Every street is native. Even if we have never been there in our lives. And fighters from Kyiv, Lvov, Krivoy Rog, Zhytomyr, Luhansk and many other cities are fighting for Mariupol, Kupyansk and Izyum. And fighters from Izyum, Kupyansk and Mariupol and many other cities are fighting for Avdiivka, Bakhmut and Soledar And together they defend Kyiv And together they defend Kharkov And all together they freed Kherson And all of us together, wherever we were born and where we grew up, we say today: I will defend my Ukraine, my cathedral, my Transcarpathia, my Volhynia , my Podolia, my Tavria, my Siverschyna, my Polissya, my Dnieper region, my Donbass, my Galicia, my Sloboda, my Sea of Azov, my Bukovyna and, of course, the my Crimea, and it is not “yours,” Zelensky stressed.

The President stressed that Ukrainians will defend everything together, meaning they will win together.

“And the sound of victory will be heard by the whole Ukraine… My Ukraine. Our Ukraine… The only one, because it is strong. Strong, because it is alone. Happy Unity Day, dear people ! Happy Unity Day, invincible!” – Zelensky congratulated the Ukrainians.

As reported, Ukraine is celebrating Unity Day today. The holiday was officially established in 1999, given the great political and historical significance of the unification of UNR and ZUNR for the formation of a single Ukrainian state.
