The Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence summoned the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (MOU) after information emerged about the purchase of products for the Ukrainian military at high prices. This is what the deputy head of the committee, Maryanu Bezuglaya, said on his Facebook page on Saturday, January 21.
“We are calling the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence,” he said in a statement.
According to him, the relevant meeting should be held behind closed doors in the near future.
The people’s choice added that the State Audit Service of Ukraine is now conducting inspections of the Ministry of Defense on the issue of food purchases and not only on inflated prices.
“We expect a resounding conclusion,” concluded Bezuglaya.
Recall that earlier the media published material that the Ministry of Defense buys products for military personnel two to three times more expensive than they cost in Kyiv stores.
In addition, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the SBI blocked a scheme for large-scale theft of products intended for the military.
