In the Vinnitsa region, a device for detecting mines in the fields has been developed, which is mounted on agricultural machinery.
This was announced by the head of the Vinnitsa Regional Council Vyacheslav Sokolovoy.
The technology involves the use of unmanned devices that search for explosive objects and mark them in the fields. This will simplify the work of explosive services involved in mine clearance of the occupied territories.
The technology was created by Frendt LLC jointly with scientists from the Vinnitsa National Technical University. They combined remote control devices and conventional tractors.
Agricultural machinery is looking for mines in the fields, the process is carried out remotely – and this saves the lives of field workers and simplifies the work of explosives, the report says.
Metal detectors are attached to the tractor. The front one captures the information and transmits it online to the dispatch center. The tractor automatically stops if a dangerous object is detected on the way. It then waits for further instructions from the operator.
The technology is primarily relevant for the regions of Ukraine where the fighting took place. The developers believe that subsequently it will be popular for 30% of the so far occupied territory of Ukraine, since the clearance of territories will become a priority after their liberation.
