Russian fishing boats are only allowed to deliver fish to the Norwegian ports of Tromsø, Kirkenes and Botsfjord.
In Kirkenes, Norway, two sailors from Russia were fined 5,000 NOK for work uniforms with the Russian tricolor. On Friday, January 20, the newspaper Dagbladet reported.
Police in Finnmark, where the city is located, said they checked the documents of the Russian sailors, who were “wearing clothes that could easily be mistaken for military uniforms.”
The police spoke to them, checked the ship and the crew.
According to prosecutor Martina Meslo, the Russians were fined in accordance with Art. 165 of the Norwegian Penal Code regarding “improper wearing of uniform”.
“The fact that crews walk around the city in camouflage clothing, which can be mistaken for Russian military uniforms, can create discomfort for both the local population and Ukrainian refugees living here, ” explained the prosecutor.
He also recalled that Russian ships were only allowed to enter three ports in Norway.
The prosecutor also emphasized that “back then, Russian sailors used other clothes for their uniforms.”

In April 2022, the EU banned, as part of the fifth round of sanctions, Russian-flagged ships from entering EU ports. Since May 7, Norway has closed almost all of its ports to Russian ships.
Remember that the sea brought things from the sunken Russian cruiser Moskva to the shores of Odessa.
