The Kremlin continues to take demonstrative public actions aimed at creating the conditions for a protracted war in Ukraine.

The Kremlin does not intend to back down from its aggressive plans and is preparing the Russian population for a protracted war against Ukraine. It is for this purpose that air defense systems were installed in Moscow in recent days, on Friday, January 20, says the ISW report.

According to analysts, the air defense in Moscow is necessary for the Russian authorities “for the sake of the image” to scare the population and mobilize them for war.

“Thus, the occupiers are trying to strengthen information operations to prepare the population for a protracted war in Ukraine and more victims,” experts said.

In their opinion, this display of air defense systems was probably also part of a nascent campaign to promote a number of similarities to the fighting in World War II, when defense systems were installed directly on air across Moscow.

Analysts also point out that the Kremlin continues to promote information campaigns to undermine Western support for Ukraine while simultaneously continuing mobilization activities, despite numerous statements about the official end of mobilization.

Recall that footage from Moscow appeared on social networks, showing how the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system is placed on the roofs of administrative buildings, including the Russian Ministry of Defense.

And now it is reported that one of the installations was noticed 10 kilometers from Putin’s residence near Moscow.
