The number of victims in an accident in the Lviv region, where a MAN truck and a BAZ bus collided, exceeded 30. This was announced on Tuesday evening, January 17, by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maxim Kozitsky .
“Two people are in serious condition. I can’t give the exact number of victims yet, because 21 people were transported to medical facilities by ambulances, and about 10 people were helped by people passing by the area accident,” the message said.
Today the traffic on the section of the road where the accident happened is open, investigators from the department for the investigation of crimes in the field of transport of the police investigation department of the Lviv region are working in the area.
Kozitsky added that law enforcement officials are now establishing the circumstances of the accident, and the issue of legal qualification of the incident is also being resolved.
Recall that at night on the Kyiv-Chop highway there was a large-scale accident. Movement is slightly restricted.
Earlier, an ambulance, a bus and a truck collided on the Kyiv-Chop highway in Stryisky district. The 80-year-old passenger of the ambulance died at the scene.
