Defenders of Ukraine have so far killed 29,543 former prisoners hired by PMC Wagner, OP said.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine demobilized 77% of formerly imprisoned Russians, who were recruited into the ranks of the occupation forces by a private military company (PMC) Wagner. About that expressed adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak on his Twitter account on Sunday, January 15.
He noted that PMC Wagner, according to a simplified “procedure”, withdrew 38,244 people from the control of the Federal Penitentiary Service (prisons and colonies) to participate in the war against Ukraine.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine ‘deregistered’ (killed, wounded, missing or captured) 29,543 (of formerly imprisoned Russians). The “Mogilization” of Russian “prisoners” is now 77%,” he said.
As previously reported, the United States is working to neutralize Wagner PMC activities around the world.
Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against PMC Wagner. This was done to limit Russian mercenaries’ access to Western technologies.
