In Moldova, a warhead of a rocket was found, which the previous day fell near the border of Ukraine during the massive shelling of the Russian aggressors. It contained approximately 80 kilograms of explosives, the Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Sunday, January 15.
According to law enforcement officials, the remains of the rocket were found in the Brichansky district bordering Ukraine – near the village of Larga.
Since yesterday evening, the protection zone around the remains of the rocket has been increased. Police squads and border guards have secured a security perimeter around the area.
The Ukrainian side has already been informed about the fact of the discovery of an explosive in the warhead of the rocket.
“The area where the explosion will take place has been blocked. According to preliminary data, the warhead of the missile is filled with approximately 80 kilograms of explosive material,” the department added.
On the eve it became known that on January 14, fragments of a rocket fell in the northern part of Moldova during the shelling of Ukraine by Russian aggressors.
The Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilitsa, has already responded to the incident. He said that another rocket fall on the territory of Moldova is an indicator of Russia’s lack of respect for the country’s sovereignty.
