The decision was made in connection with the “anti-Russian course of the British government”, noted in the department of Sergei Lavrov.
The aggressor country Russia has added 36 citizens of Great Britain to its “black list”, including representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, law enforcement agencies and the journalistic corps. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday, January 12.
It is indicated that the decision was made in connection with the “anti-Russian course of the British government, which continues to actively apply the mechanism of personal sanctions.”
“Deliberately refusing to engage in a constructive and constructive dialogue, London continues the line of confrontation, in cooperation with Washington, spreading false information about Russia, inciting Russophobia,” Lavrov’s office was angry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also threatened similar “adequate responses” in the future if Great Britain’s current course continues.
Recall that a month ago, the UK imposed sanctions on 12 key Russian military leaders. This was done in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure. Iranian citizens and a company from this country are also under sanctions.
