MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said Monday that he has already found the picture of 2023 in American politics.
O’Donnell said a photo taken Friday of Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) was physically prevented from pouncing on Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) following the president’s 14th failed bid , current House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to the speaker. the status of the current GOP.
The stunning image “tells us everything about Republican politics and Republican government in America today,” O’Donnell said.
“Republicans are attacking Republicans, Republicans who won’t go into chaos in the courtroom while trying to do the simplest thing the House does, which is elect a speaker,” he added.
McCarthy had “the worst speaker entrance I’ve ever seen,” O’Donnell noted, before predicting total chaos from the GOP majority in the House.
“You’re going to see things you’ve never seen before,” he said, citing the party’s lack of a real legislative agenda.
