In Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of a fire in an apartment, one child died, two others were injured. This was announced on Sunday, January 8, at the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The fire broke out on January 8 around 6 p.m. The fire broke out in an apartment on the fifth floor of a multi-storey residential building on Dobrolyubov Street.
According to the rescuers, two parents and three children lived in the apartment where the fire broke out, which was on the street at the time of the arrival of fire and rescue units.
“The girl, who was born in 2019, was unconscious. Rescuers performed resuscitation before emergency medical help arrived, but they failed to save the child,” the State Emergency Service said.
The other affected children were injured and hospitalized through emergency medical care – a girl, born in 2018 and a boy, born in 2021, with a preliminary diagnosis of poisoning by combustion products.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.
Recall that a large-scale fire occurred in one of the villages of the Odessa region. A mother and three young children died in a private house fire.
