The “Wagnerites” recruited political prisoners from Chechnya. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“According to the information of the Ukrainian military intelligence, the Russian PMC Wagner began to recruit prisoners from the correctional institutions of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, most of them convicted for political reasons. This is already known in the colony -settlement No. 3 of the city of Argun (Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation), as well as in colony No. 2 of the village of Chernokozovo (Naursky district of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation), the process of recruiting prisoner in the ranks of the Wagner PMC continues,” intelligence reports.
The GUR notes that the phenomenon begins to acquire a mass character.

It was previously reported that in the Russian Federation they are looking for mercenary prisoners who escaped from the Wagner PMC.
