Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation to show documentaries about the war in Ukraine and “the fight against the spread of neo-Nazi and neo-fascist ideology” in cinemas. This is confirmed by Putin’s published order.
According to the order, the department should also organize a festival of patriotic documentaries. Proposals in this regard must be prepared before February 1, 2023.
It was noted that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation should assist Russian film documentaries in the preparation of cinematographic material about the participants in the “special operation” who “showed courage, bravery and heroism.”
The Ministries of Culture and Education of Russia must, by April 1, 2023, create “public spaces, art objects and school museums” about the participants of the “special operation” and conduct lessons on this subject in schools.
