The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is analyzing information about the downing of Russian missiles on Russian territory.
On the afternoon of December 31, between 12:40 and 14:30, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. According to preliminary data, there were a total of 20 missile launches. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its report on the evening of December 31.
Some of the rockets did not reach Ukraine and fell on the territory of Russia (information is specified). The air defense forces and means of the Air Force destroyed 12 cruise missiles in Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky regions. Also, in the Kyiv region, an enemy Orlan-10 UAV was shot down, which carried out aerial reconnaissance during the missile attack and tried to detect the positions of our air defense.
In addition, the invaders fired 12 rocket launchers, in particular, at the infrastructure of settlements of Donetsk and Kherson regions.
The threat of enemy air and missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine. The military asks not to ignore air raid signals even on holidays.
The enemy does not stop offensive operations in the directions of Limansky and Bakhmutsky, and makes attempts to improve the tactical situation in the directions of Kupyansky and Avdeevsky.
In the direction of Volyn, Polessky, Seversk and Slobozhansk, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy were found.
Ukrainian aviation delivered six strikes on the concentration areas of the invaders and one strike on the positions of the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems, and our rocket and artillery units hit two concentration areas of manpower and military equipment and the command post of the invaders.
