93% of citizens believe in the success of Ukraine – opinion poll

Among those who believe in the victory of Ukraine, 39% believe that this victory will come in the summer of 2023. 22% bet on the victory within 1-2 years, and another 20% believe that success will be achieved in the coming months.

93% of Ukrainians believe in the victory of their country in the war with the Russian Federation. This was confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation together with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center with the support of the MATRA program.

“Only 3% of respondents doubted the victory. Compared to August, Ukrainians’ forecasts for victory have not changed. The absolute majority of residents of all macroregions are convinced of the victory of Ukraine, but in the east are slightly more skeptical (10%). compared to others,” the report said. according to a study released Thursday.

The majority (54%) of Ukrainians see success in the expulsion of Russian troops from all of Ukraine and the restoration of borders in January 2014. 22% believe that it is necessary to achieve the complete destruction of the Russian army and the collapse of the Russian Federation from within.

18% of the respondents are ready to give up some part of the occupied territories in exchange for the cessation of hostilities and consider it a victory: 8% are ready to give up only the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 6% – the territories occupied before February 23, 2022, and 3% – all territories currently occupied by the Russian army.

Only 62% of respondents see the end of the war if Ukraine wins. 26% of respondents believe that it is possible to make concessions with Russia if it helps to achieve peace.

Compared to October, the share of Ukrainians who consider any concessions to the Russian Federation unacceptable has increased by 4%.

Residents of the south (35%) and east (39%) showed the greatest willingness to make concessions. Of these, 16% in the south and 12% in the east believe that any compromise should be made for the sake of peace.

One of the previous surveys showed that the majority of citizens believed that the liberation of all occupied regions would be a complete victory over the aggressor country.
