Germany has given the thirteenth Bergerpanzer 2 recovery vehicle to Ukraine. In addition, 50 field heaters are being prepared for shipment.

Last week, Germany handed over to Ukraine its thirteenth armored recovery vehicle (ARV) Bergepanzer 2, according to the German government’s website.

In total, Ukraine has already received 13 Bergerpanzer 2 and 78 border service vehicles from Germany.

In addition, Berlin donated one ambulance (35 in total) and two forklifts (6 in total) to Ukraine and is preparing to transfer 50 field heaters and 26 forklift replacement systems.

The Bergepanzer 2 (BPz-2) is a German armored repair and recovery vehicle on the Leopard 1 tank chassis. The main purpose of the vehicle is to ensure the mobility of armored units, evacuate damaged equipment, assist in the replacement or repair of the engine compartment and / or turret.

It was previously reported that the German government is exploring the possibility of increasing the supply of weapons to Ukraine after the United States decided to supply Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv.
