In Russia, they will be imprisoned and fined for maps where the occupied regions of Ukraine are not designated as Russian territory.
The State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill on fines for the distribution of cards that “deny the territorial integrity of Russia.” Such cards themselves will be classified as extremist materials.
In the event of a successful adoption of a law for the distribution of maps on which the annexed Ukrainian regions are not shown as part of Russia, citizens can be arrested for up to 15 days, and legal entities can be fined up to 1 million Russian rubles (approximately 14.2 thousand dollars). .).
Deputies of the State Duma in the first reading adopted amendments to the law “On Countering Extremist Activities”.
The explanatory note to the draft law states that in Russia “cases of the distribution of printed, booklet and cartographic products, on which certain parts of the territory of Russia (for example, the Crimea, the southern Kuriles, etc.) are clearly attributed to the territories of other states, have become more frequent.”
In Russia, they believe that such “information actions are a hidden form of propaganda, carried out, as a rule, from abroad, with the aim of forming a distorted view of the Russian and world public about the state border of Russia, justifying the territorial claims of neighboring states to our country, undermining sovereignty and national integrity of Russia.

On November 10, Muscovites shamefully disappeared from Kherson. In the Russian laws on the acceptance of the occupied Ukrainian territories into Russia, it was noted that the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were within the boundaries of the regions at the time of accession. But it is not specified whether this refers to the territories controlled by Russia or those where the borders established by Ukraine pass.
