Prosecutors send forensic anthropologist to Huacho to identify remains in missing tourist case

Prosecutors said on Monday that a forensic anthropologist from Institute of Forensic Medicine will travel to Huacho to perform an autopsy on a woman found on a beach in Huacho, believed to be Blanca Olivia Arellano Gutiérrez (51).

“From now on, the embassy has been in constant contact with the Peruvian National Police and Prosecutor’s Office to monitor and assist in the procedures that were carried out to coordinate the search for a person and the investigation of the concomitant circumstances … to his disappearance,” the agency said in a statement. .

The embassy also said that the Peruvian authorities would report on the progress of the investigation and any findings or conclusions.
