Due to the shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (CIS), at gas stations where fuel is sold, long queues of cars lined up.
This was confirmed by the group RPP news on a tour made this morning by various service stations in the city Lime.
Our correspondent went to the tap Petroperlocated at the intersection of avenues 28 de Julio and Brasil, in Cercado de Lima, where the line of vehicles stretched for more than two blocks.
Many drivers, mostly taxi drivers, came from different parts of Lima to stock up CISbecause – they assured – at this station they find the cheapest price.
Price CIS It went as far as breaking the ten sole barrier at some gas stations, which did not hesitate to raise prices because of the shortage.
Why is there no HBO?
As a result of abnormal waves recorded on the Peruvian coast, several ports were closed, including Callao, due to which ships bringing CIS they cannot land.
The problem is the lack of it. gas in various faucets in Lima, said Abel Camasca, president of the Association of Packaging Companies (Aseeg), who spoke at length about the issue.
“The supply (LPG) to Lima is via ships, and since we had anomalous waves, ports closedfailed to download CIS. Terminals here at Lime they are empty,” he says.
As the spokesman recalled, the authority of the Institute of the Navy is to order the opening of ports, and thus the dumping of fuel is achieved.
It is currently unknown when the ports will reopen, although the Navy is expected to report on the situation in the coming days. “They haven’t given us a date yet, but we hope they can determine the opening of the ports in a couple of days,” he adds.
