LE FIGARO. – Do you understand the reaction of public opinion when revealing the organization of a karting competition in Fresnes prison?
Clotilde Gilbert. – It seems logical to me that public opinion is offended by seeing these images. And personally, I find it inappropriate in the current social context of our country to publicize the Olympic Games in one of the most overcrowded prisons in the Paris region. “The French have always been vigilant.”four star prisonwhich, however, is so far from reality. For me, the real problem is not gambling in prison, but the media coverage of it.
We should not forget that these people are locked in their cells 22 hours a day. If karting isn’t the answer, this inaction could lead to jail time…
