If you’re coming to Scotland on holiday to get some fresh air and see miles of desert landscapes, then of course you shouldn’t get stuck on the Highlands tourist route. So to avoid a line of converted vans and one way roads crowded, head towards the Kintyre Peninsula to cross the Kintyre 66. Of Scotland’s more than 30,000 lakes, the most famous is Loch Ness, with its monster that dwells in its dark depths. If you want to avoid the crowd trying to see Nessie’s eye, fall back Loch Morar either by following the Route of the Islands (Gaelic: Rathad nan Eilean) or by taking a steam train that runs along the famous route. Finally, lovers of fine sandy beaches will not be disappointed. The Silver Sands of Morari are some of the most beautiful beaches on the west coast. Especially the long beach of Morar Bay is worth watching. at low tide you can walk to the other shore to find another relatively uncrowded beach.
