FIGARO OF HEALTH. – How was the National Cancer League brought in to advise on the risks of diversion in terms of well-being and health?
Simon Schraub: – Until 1998, the League was primarily involved in supporting research and cancer prevention efforts. But helping patients is becoming more and more important. First, with psychological support, particularly through support groups. Departmental committees were then assembled by people offering all kinds of welfare care. Therefore, the League had to define what complementary medicine is, give its limits and risks, give advice to departmental committees that welcome and inform patients and their relatives.
