Catherine Zeta-Jones stars in new Netflix series

The Zeta-Jones project will be closest to cartoonist Charles Addams’ original design, which first appeared in The New Yorker.

British actress Catherine Zeta-Jones will play Morticia Addams in the series Wednesday from Netflix. The tape is dedicated to the only daughter of the creepy but happy Adams family, writes Vanity Fair.

Besides him, in the series, viewers will see Luis Guzman as the father of the Gomez family, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday and Isaac Ordoñez, who will play the unlucky son of Addams Pugsley.

The show is the brainchild of Smallville creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough.

“One of the differences between the show and traditional Addams Family stories is that Wednesday is no longer a grumpy little girl, but a high school student, still lonely but freer,” Gough said.
