Parents Emblematic Educational Institution Jose Maria Egurenin Barranco reported an alarming rise in cases of COVID-19 among students and teachers at the school and asked the authorities to take action on the matter.
“Since last week, we have students who become infected with COVID due to fourth wave. We appeal to Minister Rosendo Serna to get acquainted with our case,” he said. RPP News Mario Montesino, student’s father.
“Protocols are not followed, masks are not issued. (…) Boys get infected,” he added.
Parents indicated that 14 of the 56 classrooms at the education center were closed due to infections between students and teachers.

The applicants asked for face-to-face classes to be suspended for a week or ten days in order to break the chain of infections at the school.
“We want classes for a week or ten days to be remote because we have a digital platform. The number of infections is on the rise,” said Mario Montesinos.
This morning, a group of parents held a sit-in in front of the school building, demanding that the authorities resolve the problem as soon as possible.
