Minsa: Crews are inspecting over 15,000 homes to eradicate dengue mosquitoes in Manchai.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the Office of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) Lima Sur, has dispatched vector control teams to inspect more than 15,000 homes in Manchay to identify and eliminate potential breeding grounds for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the vector of dengue in this sector of Pachacamac County.

Home visits will be carried out until July 20 with 35 health inspectors, registrars and registrars who are properly trained to actively search for mosquito vectors in egg, pupal and larval phases.

“Our medical teams will work intensively to detect mosquito breeding sites in Manchai in time and thus prevent more people from becoming infected with this disease, which can even lead to death if these patients are not given care and timely treatment,” said head of department.
